corinne & rudy in the news!!
We'd like to share our journey of light, love and art through news and our blog below. Post comments or contact us and tell us your story--we'd love to hear it!
Are you ready to get the holidays started? Come out to Mirror Lake Diner in Kamas on Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 to celebrate with local artisans. We'll be there with fun new ornaments and a new painting or two, plus Tao of Rudy books, cards and new journals! Hope to see you!
I'm having fun painting for Art Access Gallery's "Small Treasures" Holiday Show!! I'm not used to painting small, or painting cats or roosters for that matter, and I'm just starting to experiment with mixed media, but it's expanding my art a little. The show runs from mid-November through mid-December...I'll post details soon!
New book, "Rudy Counts to 2 Too!" color sketches and manuscript sent to publisher yesterday! Fingers crossed!
After staying up until 2:00 AM, then finishing up the next morning, I finally got the color sketches/layout done for my new book, "Rudy Counts to 2 Too!" Allie at the UPS store helped me packagie it up, and now it's off to Paula Wiseman Books to an editor I met at a SCBWI writers conference in Idaho last spring! Fingers crossed that they will acquire it! Thank you to everyone for your continued support! xo!
Join us at our booth #39 tomorrow, Sat., Aug. 25 at Ogden's Eccles Art Center's 125th Anniversary art festival! Fine art, music, art activities and more! https://ogden4arts.org/events/upcoming-events/125th-anniversary-celebration.html
The Eccles Art Center is housed in a Victorian mansion that was built in 1893, and in 2018, celebrates its 125th anniversary as one of Ogden's most iconic structures.
The David Eccles family purchased the home in 1896 and resided in the mansion for many years. Since 1959, the house has been used as a community arts and cultural center.
If an inventory were taken of Ogden's most valuable community assets, the Eccles Art Center would be classified as a "Crown Jewel.”
In celebration of both this beautiful structure and its legacy of artistic contribution to Northern Utah, we seek your support at a day-long community event filled with live performances, art exhibits, kids activities, a plein air competition, mansion tours, food trucks, an art "yard sale” vendors, and more.
The 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Eccles Art Center building will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
